Preface

Matthew 23:11 "The greatest among you will be your servant."
Matthew 23:12 "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."

Prologue

Progressive Christianity is a "post-liberal movement" within Christianity that seeks to reform the faith with liberation theology by embedding culture grammar and agreements that entails its own forms of truth, subjectivity, social justice, culture change and power.

Introduction

Women Pastors / Preachers?
This essay will investigate "ALL" reasoning and arguments that are versed by progressive "individuals" and "denominations" that support a decision to certify women as pastors. The essay includes biblical analysis and systemic theology to clear out any ambiguities that have clouded this subject.  Because of human rationalities, we must remove all  perceived notions and allow revelations of biblical truths to guide us. Let us first pray to be one with Christ Jesus,  then look into the scriptures for direction based on His wisdom and Knowledge.

Creation

Creation of Man and Women

1.  Creation of Man and Women

Progressives list two (2) scriptures in Genesis in regards to the creation of male and female being equally created and conclude from these two scriptures that men and women share in the same equality and opportunity.
Genesis 1:27  "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Genesis 5:2  "male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created."

Conservatives creation narrative agrees with equality of Male and female as both being created in the image of God, but the conservative narrative includes the complete creation account which adheres to God's perfect plan for mankind and the difference and purpose of men and women to fulfill God's sovereign purpose.
Genesis 2:7  "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
Genesis 2:18  "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet, "helper suitable" for him."
Genesis 2:21  "And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;"
Genesis 2:22  "And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."
Genesis 2:23  "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man."
Genesis 3:16  "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Summary:
Half-truths
by definition are usually deceptive statements that includes some element of truth.  Half-truths may purposely distort or alter the whole truth , or possibly lead to a false conclusion.
The complete biblical account of creation clearly indicates that men and women are equally created in the image of God, but created differently to complete God's sovereign will and purpose for His glory. The creation biblical narrative indicates that God endowed from creation a leadership role for men and a companionship, support and birth for women.  God's sovereign will and purpose does not indicate different value for women "but" different designations for family and the body of Christ.
Personal Note;
We live in an age where equality and opportunity in everything is sought after and to say different is regarded as hateful or sexist.  Please re-read the "Preface" at the beginning of the page.  Submission to God's will is not prejudicial but a blessing.

Prophetess

Prophetesses of the Old Testament

2.  Prophetesses of the Old Testament

Progressives list three prophetess in the Old Testament, Miriam, Deborah, and Huldah that were chosen to serve God.   They imply that this service indicates a pattern of God using women in ministry and leadership positions which supports a divine pattern for women to become a congregational pastor/minister or leader.

MIRIAM

Exodus 15:20  "And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances."
Deborah
Judges 4:4  "And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time."
Judges 4:5  "And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment."
Huldah
2Kings 22:14-16  "So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.  And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:"

Conservatives reiterate the Genesis account that woman are equally created in the image of God and such have equal spirituality.  Joel 2:28 indicate a "universal" call of prophecy and such supports the conservatives complete creation narrative.
Joel 2:28  "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:"

The definition of a prophet is found in 1 Samuel 9:9 as a "seer", which also has a meaning of "to call" or "to announce" a divine message.
1Samuel 9:9 "Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer."

Summary:

Both men and women are called to prophecy. The Old Testament lists hundreds of prophets, approximately seven (7) of them prophetess.   For progressives to indicate that Miriam, Deborah, and Huldah denotes a divine pattern for women to be congregational pastor or leader is more then a stretch, but a fabrication of biblical facts that distorts God's divine appointments and different designations for men and women chronicled in Genesis and throughout the divine word of God, "The Holy Bible".

Miriam's divine appointment was being a prophetess and leader of the Hebrew women.  When she questioned Moses’ authority, she altered her divine appointment that God had blessed her with and consequentially broke the law.  God punished her with a disease that turned her skin white and leprous. Numbers 12.

Remember;  We have been created to fulfill God's sovereign will and purpose for His glory and not are own.
Jeremiah1:5  "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Personal Note;
Please re-read the "Preface" at the beginning of the page.  Submission to God's will is not prejudicial but a blessing.

New Testament Women

Women in the New Testament

3.  Women in the New Testament

Priscilla

Progressives have often pointed that Greek scholars consider Paul's practice of mentioning Priscilla's name before that of her husband emphasizes that she was the more prominent leader of the church which indicates a women's divine appointment to be able to become a congregational pastor or leader.

Conservatives consider this idea erroneous for multiple reasons.

aAquila and Priscilla were both devout Jews and lived by traditional Judaism [Acts 18:2] prior to excepting Jesus as the Christ.  Their beliefs were that men and women are spiritual equal, but are created differently to complete God's sovereign will and purpose for mankind, which includes man being head of the household "Genesis 3:16".

Act 18:2  "And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them."

bGod's divine purpose is fulfilled using positioning as indicated in Genesis 1:27,Genesis 5:2, Exodus 20:12.  However, Paul is using historical proper etiquette in Acts 18:19, 18:26, Romans 16:3 and 2 Timothy 4:19 when he lists Priscilla's name first.  When you use only first names of a married couple, the women's name is listed first.

Acts 18:18
"Paul stayed a while longer in Corinth, but then it was time to take leave of his friends. Saying his good-byes, he sailed for Syria, Priscilla and Aquila with him. Before boarding the ship in the harbor town of Cenchrea, he had his head shaved as part of a vow he had taken."
Acts 18:19  "They landed in Ephesus, where Priscilla and Aquila got off and stayed. Paul left the ship briefly to go to the meeting place and preach to the Jews."
Acts 18:26  "He preached with power in the meeting place. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and told him the rest of the story."
Romans 16:3  "Say hello to Priscilla and Aquila, who have worked hand in hand with me in serving Jesus."
2Timothy 4:19  "Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus."

c.  Paul however lists Aquila first in [1 Corinthians 16:19], possibly due to Aquila and Priscilla home church recognition.
1Corinthians 16:19  "The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house."

Summary:
Conservatives recognize and applaud the work of Aquila and Priscilla and consider them an example for all to follow.

Phoebe

Progressives indicate that Paul recognized Phoebe as a patroness to himself and placed her in high social standing.  Paul also used the term diakonos (δίκονος, “DEACON”), meaning “minister” or “servant” in Romans 16:1 to describe her service.  Since one of the meanings is "minister",  Progressives have indicate that this reference is an understanding that women should be a entitled to become a congregational pastor or leader.

Romans 16:1
"I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea;"
Romans 16:2 "that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well."

Conservatives understand that multiple meanings "definitions" of a word does not indicate that each definition of a word reflects the authors true intent.  A reader must  look at the authors reasoning and purpose to indicate the true meaning.  Paul indicates first that Phoebe is a "servant of the church" and that she has been a "helper to him and others".  However, Paul does not list any other positions other then servant and helper.  All Christians should be "servants of the church" as written in Mark 10:43-45.
Mark 10:43  "But it is not so among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant;"
Mark 10:44  "and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all."
Mark 10:45  "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Summary:
Paul's remarks about Phoebe are truly heartening.  Phoebe was both a "helper to Paul" and a "servant of the Church."    But to state that her service indicates a break or fracture in God's sovereign will and purpose for men and women only erodes God's intentions of true servanthood and the blessings that Phoebe received by being a true "servant".

Please re-read the "Preface" at the beginning of the page.  Submission to God's will is not prejudicial but a blessing.

Galatians 3: 15-29

Galatians 3: 15-29 "The Law and the Promise

4.  Galatians 3: 15-29  "The Law and the Promise"

Progressives verse [Galatians 3:28] and state that both men and women are equal and have equal value to God which interns agrees with there "argument/position" that women have as much right as men to be appointed a congregational pastor or leader.

Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. "

Conservatives agree with equality of male and female as being created in the image of God, but the conservative narrative includes the complete "The Law and the Promise" narrative of Galatians 3:15-29  that clearly indicates that men and women have equal access to salvation which is in agreement with God's sovereign will and purpose for mankind.

Galatians 3:15-29-The Law and the Promise
15 "Brethren, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is only a man's covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it.  Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, "And to seeds," as referring to many, but rather to one, "And to your seed," that is, Christ.  What I am saying is this: the Law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.  For if the inheritance is based on law, it is no longer based on a promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by means of a promise.  Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made.  Now a mediator is not for one party only; whereas God is only one.  Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.  But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.  But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed.  Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutorFor you are all sons of God through faith in Christ JesusFor all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with ChristThere is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise."

Summary:
This is the  first account that I can clearly state that Progressives have been completely deceptive by choosing a single verse out of a complete narrative to proof their   argument/position.  The narrative for Galatians 3:15-29 which includes verse (28) is clearly of  equal salvation.

Slavery

Slavery; Old and New Testament

5.  Slavery; Old and New Testament

Progressives indicate that the culture of women's suppression is a direct correlation to biblical slavery.

Conservatives repudiate this conjecture that the Holy Bible teaches any elements of oppressionBiblical Slavery as indicated below was different then the Modern Slavery of the past few centuries with Christians on the forefront of ending the horrific practice of Modern Slavery.
a. Biblical Slavery
b. Modern Slavery
c. Biblical narrative on forced, 'Kidnapped' slavery

a.  Biblical Slavery
In biblical times, slavery was based more on economics.  People sold themselves as slaves when they could not pay their debts or provide for their families.  In addition slaves were accorded certain minimal rights in both length of servitude and protection against abuse as indicated in [Deuteronomy 15:12–15].  Deuteronomy 15:11 indicates that the poor will never cease to be in the land.  This biblical practice of dealing with the poor reflect aspects more of indentured servanthood then slavery and dealt with a serious problem of caring for the poor.
Deuteronomy 15:11-15 "For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.  If your kinsman, a Hebrew man or woman, is sold to you, then he shall serve you six years, but in the seventh year you shall set him free.  When you set him free, you shall not send him away empty-handed.  You shall furnish him liberally from your flock and from your threshing floor and from your wine vat; you shall give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you. You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this today."

b.  Modern Slavery
The slavery of the past few centuries was often based exclusively on skin color. People of Color were considered slaves because of their nationality, and were looked upon and treated as inferior.  The moral teachings in the Holy Bible started the movement to end the practice of forced slavery [Genesis 1:27 & Genesis 5:2].
Genesis 1:27  "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Genesis 5:2  "male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created."

c. Biblical narrative on forced, 'Kidnapped' slavery
The bible was clear that this forced, 'Kidnapped' slavery was punishable by death [Exodus 21:16].
Exodus 21:16 "He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death.

Present Period  Slavery
however still exists and has transformed into sex trafficking, child sex trafficking, forced labor, bonded labor, debt bondage and domestic servitude of all nationalities.

Summary:
Because of choice, we live in a world full of depravity that causes extreme unfairness and sorrow .  The world oppresses and  enslaves, but God through His son gives us ALL the ability to be free.
Galatians 5:1 Freedom is what we have---Christ has set us free! Stand, then, as free people, and do not allow yourselves to become slaves again.

Please re-read the "Preface" at the beginning of the page.  Submission to God's will is not prejudicial but a blessing.

Pauline Doctrine on Women

Pauline doctrine of women in Home & Church

6. Pauline doctrine of women in Home & Church

6a.  The man known to us as the apostle Paul began life as Saul of Tarsus and was called by Jesus.
Romans 1:1
From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus and an apostle chosen and called by God to preach his Good News.
Romans 1:5 Through him God gave me the privilege of being an apostle for the sake of Christ, in order to lead people of all nations to believe and obey.

Accomplishing Gods calling meant that Paul had to overcome a seemingly insurmountable task of dealing with different cultures, etiquettes and religious barriers to preach the Good News.  A common etiquette in biblical times was that a man would be disrespectful if he approached a woman to start a conversation without an introduction, unless the woman was involved in commerce.   To succeed, Paul had to overcome this barrier and all the other different cultural, adopted etiquettes and religious barriers that were well established in society.  To be successful in his calling to preach the Good News,  Paul established home based church to bridge different cultures and etiquettes and bring the teachings of the Good News to all, both men and women.

Paul was revolutionary by following the teachings of Jesus and publicly including women in ministry.  Women clearly played a significant role in the early church as the Apostle Paul mentions in Romans (16:1-16) were he identifies sixteen helpers in ministry , and at least ten of them were women.

The different cultures and etiquettes however did cause issues that needed to be addressed as to adhere to the teachings of Christ Jesus.  Paul in his letters dealt with these issues with the precepts that were spoken by Jehovah prior to any established culture and written in the book of Genesis.

Genesis 2:22  "And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."  Man does not originate from woman, but woman from man.
Genesis 3:16  "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Summary:
Paul was not under any culture restraints or teachings, but was adhering to God's sovereign will and purpose for His creation.

6b.  Pauline doctrine of women
Paul establishes guidelines for Women conduct per Genesis 2:22 & Genesis 3:16.

a. Women in Marriage
Ephesians 5:22
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord."
Ephesians 5:23  "For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body."
1Peter 3:1  "In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives"
Colossians 3:18  "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord."

b.  Women's Dress Code in the Church
1Timothy 2:9  "Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,"
1Timothy 2:10  "but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness."

c.  Women's Conduct in the Church
1Timothy 2:11  "A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness."

d.  Women's Position in the Church
1Timothy 2:12  "But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet."
1Timothy 2:13  "For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve."
1Timothy 2:14  "And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression."
1Timothy 2:15  "But women shall be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint."
1Corinthians 11:3 "But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ."

Summary:
God's sovereign will and purpose does not indicate different value for women "but" different designations for family and the body of Christ.  Paul was adhering to God's sovereign will and purpose for His Creation when establishing guidelines.

Systematic Theology vs. Progressive Ideology

Pauline doctrine vs. social cultural influence

7. Pauline doctrine vs. social cultural influence

Progressives insinuate that Paul's writings (listed above in 6b), regarding woman being submissive to man in both Home and Church are worldly cultural biased and/or sexist and not reflective of the true intent of God and should be dismissed.

Using Systematic theology as a discipline to formulate an orderly and coherent account of the Progressives ideology, ramifications and scripture conflicts appear as listed below when alleging verses in the Holy Bible contain worldly cultural biased and/or sexist writings.

a. Holiness
The Holy Bible is no longer "Holy" since it contains worldly cultural bias and/or sexist writings.
[Scripture rebukes Progressives ideology.]
1Timothy 6:3-5  "Whoever teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching of our religion is swollen with pride and knows nothing. He has an unhealthy desire to argue and quarrel about words, and this brings on jealousy, disputes, insults, evil suspicions, and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is a way to become rich."
1Thessalonians 2:13  "And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of God's message, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe."
Psalms119:105  "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."

b. Word of God
The Bible is no longer "The Word of God" but "Contains The Word of God" due to worldly cultural bias and/or sexist writings which indicates a degree of deprivation of the Holy Spirit.
[Scripture rebukes Progressives ideology.]
2Timothy 3:16-17  "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed."

c. Pick and Choose
The bible "Contains The Word of God", which allows simplistic interpretation of the bible and permits individuals to pick and choose what one believes to be scripted by the Holy Spirit vs. Man based on an individuals perceived modern culture positions or beliefs.
[Scripture rebukes Progressives ideology.]

1Corinthians 3:19-20  "For what this world considers to be wisdom is nonsense in God's sight. As the scripture says, "God traps the wise in their cleverness"; and another scripture says,  The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are worthless."

d. Law
When Paul wrote about women in Home and  Church, he referenced the creation narrative of man and women found in Genesis.  This implication implies that worldly cultural bias was founded in the beginning of the Old Testament and transferred throughout the bible including the Mosaic Law and the Talmud.
[Scripture rebukes Progressives ideology.]

Psalms 19:7-8   "The law of the LORD is perfect; it gives new strength. The commands of the LORD are trustworthy, giving wisdom to those who lack itThe laws of the LORD are right, and those who obey them are happy. The commands of the LORD are just and give understanding to the mind."
Joshua 22:5 "Make sure you obey the law that Moses commanded you: love the LORD your God, do his will, obey his commandments, be faithful to him, and serve him with all your heart and soul."

Summary:
Progressive
rationalism and/or ideology of worldly cultural bias towards women to discredit scripture and promote modern women's rights is in direct conflict with God's sovereign will and purpose for His Creation that clearly indicates men and women are equally created in the image of God, but created differently to complete God's sovereign will and purpose for His glory.   As indicated above, the progression of forwarding the agenda for a women's right to become a pastor or leader of a congregation is in direct conflict with scripture and theologically removes the bible as being the authoritative Word of God to Classical Literature.

Leviticus 20:22-24  "You are therefore to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them, so that the land to which I am bringing you to live will not spew you out.  Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I will drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them.  Hence I have said to you, "You are to possess their land, and I Myself will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey." I am the LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples."

Please re-read the "Preface" at the beginning of the page.  Submission to God's will is not prejudicial but a blessing.

Progressives Theological Dilemma

Doctrine of Jesus being "fully human and fully divine" vs. Progressive rationalism and/or ideology

8.  Doctrine of Jesus being "fully human and fully divine" vs. Progressive rationalism and/or ideology

The Doctrine of Jesus being "fully human and fully divine" is called the Hypostatic Union.  This term describes How God the Son, Jesus Christ, took on a human nature, yet remained fully God at the same time. Jesus always had been God.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:15  " John bore witness of Him, and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me."
John 8:58
"Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
John 10:30  "I and the Father are one."

Jesus was a revolutionary.  His actions elicited surprising reactions from his contemporaries in all facets of life.  He was not afraid to challenge the status quo and reestablish Scriptural precedents. The uniqueness of our Lord’s behavior reestablished the Mosaic Law that lifted womanhood and ennobled motherhood.  Jesus also shattered some pagan practices and prejudicial customs that were not divinely inspired and publicly included women as helpers.

Jesus' respected all women, an attitude largely unexpected in any culture of any time.  Jesus unlike others realized that both man and woman were created in the image of God and had equal rights to salvation but different designations for family and church to complete God's sovereign will and purpose for His glory as indicated in scripture.

Jesus in the
gospels never repudiated the view of the day about women, in fact Jesus in Matthew 5:17-18 states that he came to fulfill the law that included God's divine plan for women which includes the Genesis Narrative and the Law of Moses.
Matthew 5:17-18
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.   For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Luke 16:17
"And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail."

Progressives theological Dilemma

Progressives insinuate that Paul's writings (listed above in 6b), regarding woman being submissive to man in both Home and Church are worldly cultural biased and/or sexist and not reflective of the true intent of God and should be dismissed.

However, Jesus never repudiated any of the law or divine customs that were established in the Law of Moses regarding women and/or the complete Genesis narrative. Hence, the progressives must conclude that Jesus was under the same worldly cultural influences that Moses and Paul were under.

Summary:
Progressives
theology indicates that Jesus was not God since he was under worldly cultural influences in His teachings and establishment of His church.
2Peter 2:1-2
"
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.  Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;"

Divine Dispensation vs. Pride

 Divine Dispensation vs. Progressive's Pride

9.  Divine Dispensation vs. Progressive's Pride

Salvation starts when an individual meeks and/or humbles their spirit to excepts Christ Jesus as lord and Savior.  Continued strengthening of the relationship depends on a meek and/or humble heart so that Christ Jesus can mold and direct ones life.  The bible informs us that a meek and/or humble heart is essential.

Psalms 22:26  "The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever."
Psalms 34:2  "My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear it and rejoice."
Psalms 37:11  "But the humble will inherit the land, And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity."
Isaiah 61:1  "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"
Matthew 5:5  "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth."
Matthew 18:4 "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

Under the influence of pride, both men and women believe they are masters of their lives.  The proud believers surmise they have accomplished what God has accomplished in them. They seeks credit for things which they cannot rightly take credit. Talent, intellect, abilities, health, and life itself are gifts from God.

Romans 12:3-4  "For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.  For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,"
Proverbs 11:2
"When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom."
Proverbs 13:10  "Among the proud there are always contentions: but they that do all things with counsel, are ruled by wisdom."
Proverbs 28:25  "An arrogant man stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will prosper."
Matthew 23:12 "And whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted."
James 4:6 But  "He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."

The bible instructs us that  God dispenses believers with gifts for His purposing and not our own.

Ephesians 3:7  "of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God's grace which was given to me according to the working of His power."
Ephesians 4:11-12 " And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;"
1Corinthians 7:7  "Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that."
1Corinthians 12:7-11  "But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.   For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills."

Summary:

Progressive teaching is always in conflict with God . All men and women worship something.  A meek and/or humble heart will submit to Jehovah's will and providence like His Son, where a heart of Pride glories in self-righteous and self-entitlement that seeks a God of Convenience.  When Progressive teaching entices with false and misleading freedom and self entitlement, one should look towards the Divine Word of God for direction.

Colossians 3:17  "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

1Peter 4:10-11  "As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

God instructs us to be satisfied with the gifts that He as bestowed upon us, refusing or altering Gods gift is a reflection of a selfish and prideful heart

1Corinthians 7:20  "Let each man remain in that condition in which he was called."
2Timothy 1:9
"who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,"

Once Spurgeon had preached a powerful sermon. As soon as he had finished his message the devil whispered to him, “That was a fine sermon. You preached magnificently!” For a moment he agreed with the devil. Leaving the pulpit, a deacon met him and said, “Pastor, that was a masterpiece.” Spurgeon interrupted and said, “You’re too late. The devil told me that a few moments ago.”

Everlasting Eve

Everlasting Eve

10. Everlasting Eve

Pride was the first sin that put an end to the peace of eternity.  It was pride that cast Lucifer from heaven and it was pride that cost Adam and Eve their place in Paradise.

The Bible warns all Christians not to succumb to self-will and self-entitlement that embellishes pride and displaces God's will, but to always seek the lord with a meek and/or humble heart.  Eve heard only the voice of Satan, Genesis 3:5  tempting her with more gifts and self-entitlement then God had bestowed onto her and fell into the same condemnation of Pride that Lucifer suffered.
Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
1Timothy 2:14  "And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression."
2Corinthians 11:3  "But I am afraid, lest as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."

Eve had a perfect life and relationship with both Adam and God prior to her succumbing to PrideProgressives and there denominations have succumb to the same sin as Lucifer and like Eve have fallen into the same condemnation.  The bible teaches us that God has blessed women with the gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism and helps.  These gifts are important to assist an sustain the local church.   The bible instructs that women are not allowed to teach or have spiritual authority over a man in both home and church.   When Progressives and their denominations promote and encourage women to defy God as Eve in the Garden of Eden, they have fallen into the same condemnation of pride as Lucifer and are promoting the Everlasting Eve.
Proverbs 16:5  " Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD, Assuredly, he will not be unpunished."

Summary:

Nothing does more to set a person out of the devil’s reach than humility.

Conclusion

omen pastors / preachers?

11.  Conclusion, Women pastors / preachers?
Progressives
and their denominations are exposed in this essay of worshipping a God of Convenience, named  JesusTheir theology is in direct conflict with scripture but masked with similar or parallel teachings.  Matthew 7:15 indicates that they called pseudo-prophets, 2Corinthians 2:17 informs us that they "peddling the word of God" rather then "speaking in Christ."
2Corinthians 2:17  "For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God."

Pseudo-prophets are normally identified by their discounting or altering the Word of God which is in direct conflict with The Holy Bible as listed below.

The Holy Bible also informs us that we should not discount or discredit scripture.
Deuteronomy 4:2  "You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
Psalms 12:6  "The words of the LORD are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times."
Proverbs 30:5-6  "Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.  Do not add to His words Lest He reprove you, and you be proved a liar."
Mark 13:31  "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."

The Holy Bible informs us that the word of God is our strength and salvation.
2Timothy 3:16  "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;"
Hebrews 4:12  "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
Psalms 119:105  "Thy word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path."

The Holy Bible informs us that we should not depend on our own understand.
Proverbs 3:5  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding."
Jeremiah17:5 "Thus says the LORD, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD."

This essay clearly indicates that Progressives and their denominations corrupt and discount the word of God to encompass their Progressive teachings which are in direct conflict with The Holy Bible.  True freedom is found in acceptance of our creation, His Word and following the path our creator has blessed us with.  Freedom in Christ is more then a saying, but a reality.

Warning Against Worldliness

James 4:1-10 "Where do all the fights and quarrels among you come from? They come from your desires for pleasure, which are constantly fighting within you."   You want things, but you cannot have them, so you are ready to kill; you strongly desire things, but you cannot get them, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have what you want because you do not ask God for it.  And when you ask, you do not receive it, because your motives are bad; you ask for things to use for your own pleasures.  Unfaithful people! Don't you know that to be the world's friend means to be God's enemy?  If you want to be the world's friend, you make yourself God's enemy.  Don't think that there is no truth in the scripture that says, "The spirit that God placed in us is filled with fierce desires."  But the grace that God gives is even stronger. As the scripture says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."  So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.  Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners! Purify your hearts, you hypocrites  Be sorrowful, cry, and weep; change your laughter into crying, your joy into gloom!  Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."
